Access Bars

Access Bars® is offered as a gentle, non-invasive holistic therapy that focuses on rest, settling, and creating space in the nervous system. Sessions involve light touch in a calm, supportive environment, offering an opportunity to slow down without needing to talk, analyse, or explain anything.

Some people experience Access Bars® as creating a sense of quiet — particularly during times of stress, overwhelm, or mental busyness. Rather than working through conversation, the experience is often subtle and restful, allowing space to pause and soften.

For children, Access Bars® is offered in a way that prioritises comfort, choice, and safety. Sessions are always adapted to the child’s cues and preferences, with no expectation to participate in a particular way. Families often seek this support when a child seems to be carrying a lot, feeling overstimulated, or needing extra support to settle.

Parents and caregivers may also choose Access Bars® as a form of gentle self-care during demanding or emotionally full seasons of life. Some people find sessions supportive for reconnecting with themselves when they feel depleted, overloaded, or constantly “on” for others.

People who choose Access Bars® often do so for support with experiences such as:

  • feeling mentally busy or overstimulated

  • difficulty slowing down or resting

  • carrying stress or emotional load

  • needing space to pause and reset

  • seeking a gentle, non-verbal form of support

Access Bars® is not about fixing problems or changing who someone is. It is offered as an optional, holistic support that some people find calming, grounding, or nourishing.
