working with adults
At Rain & Me Children’s Therapy, work with adults is grounded in counselling-based and creative therapeutic support. Sessions offer a calm, respectful space to explore emotions, relationships, and life experiences in a way that feels paced, collaborative, and supportive.
Adults come to therapy for many reasons — navigating stress or overwhelm, sitting with uncertainty or change, making sense of relationships, or wanting to understand themselves more deeply. These experiences are part of being human. Therapy focuses on gently noticing patterns, responses, and experiences that shape daily life, with an emphasis on emotional awareness, regulation, and meaning-making.
Sessions may include reflective conversation, art-informed approaches, and body-aware practices to support exploration and expression. The process is guided by your goals, preferences, and pace, and adapts to meet you where you are — whether you’re seeking space to reflect, express, or simply be met.
Some adults may also choose to engage in holistic therapies, which are offered separately and distinctly from counselling-based support. These services are optional and sit alongside, rather than in place of, therapeutic work.
The therapeutic relationship is collaborative and non-judgemental. The aim is not to fix or change who you are, but to support insight, self-connection, and a greater sense of agency in how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.
